Middlesborough - Boulby
12th September 2007

A local line in recent years but a definite favourite. Classic traction for many years and some outstanding locations on a single branch line. What more could you ask for ? With Heavy Haul now running things, this is a nostalgic look back at some great days out in North east England. It is some time since I visited but assume many of the shots are still on be it with Freightliner loco's.

 56041 pases the classic view and in my opinion the best shot on the line. I failed on many occasions as it needed a clear day and some cloud to fill the sky. Timing was good with this train arriving in a nice patch of sun but there have been many others that got away ! 5/9/97

 My only really good shot of a 37 on the branch. This was not without trying of course. 37415 makes it up Hunt cliff and starts to run down towards Skiningrove with a rake of empties. The cloud that makes the shot in the back ground did in fact role in to cause great heartache when this loco returned a couple of hours later !! 24/8/93
